Last night I had a late snack at 1:30 am after partying. I wanted to stay up to study a bit before going to sleep so I downed an energy drink. One hour later, I still wasn’t feeling anything so I just went to bed and passed out. I thought it strange–I don’t have caffeine that often so I figured I’d be wired.
Well I was… at 7 this morning. I guess I ate so much that the food in my stomach absorbed most of the crack-chemicals and I didn’t get to them until I finished digesting the meal. It was an interesting feeling. I usually have a lot of trouble waking up before (or after) noon, but I literally jumped out of bed at 7. I don’t know how useful/healthy this technique would be in the future but it’s fun to know yet another way to hack my sleep patterns.
