The sun broke through my window this morning to find me sitting on my bed typing away on my laptop.
I’ve gotten occasional onsets of bad drowsiness, but they only last for about an hour and then go away. I tend to get tired at the 2nd or 3rd hour of any given awake-block. I think the drowsiness is supposed to hit a few minutes before the actual nap time, so my rhythm is off. The worst part is that I usually click back to a completely awake state minutes before I need to take my nap, so it takes a little longer to relax and fall asleep. If I could shift the ups and downs of today just one hour later, I’d have probably been pretty on track.
After lunch, I went to see GI Joe with my mom — it was the most action-packed movie I’ve ever seen. It literally had no plot–just solid explosions, martial arts, and shiny things moving really fast. It reminded me of the xkcd strip River Tam Beats Up Everyone. A+ movie for sure and we had the entire theater to ourselves.
I went to a tango dancing lesson. It had been a really long time since I had done any tango… since junior high, I’d forgotten how much fun it is. I’m definitely going to have to get into the dance scene when I go back to school. Though learning the steps was seriously impaired by my lack of sleep, I still feel like I’ll be able to remember everything from the lesson.
